This series will give you a preview of Swimlane, our culture, and the people who keep us going<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My name is Marvin Smith Jr., I grew up in Northwest Indiana between Merrillville and Gary. I grew up with a younger brother who now lives in Arizona with his family and kids. I also played competitive basketball all of my life and received a scholarship to play at St. Joseph\u2019s College. I had opportunities to play overseas but decided to go a different route into the business world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I moved to Chicago in 2010 and my life revolves around my 4.5 golden retriever (Nala), staying in shape, spending time with family and friends.
