This series will give you a preview of Swimlane, our culture, and the people who keep us going. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Meet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ed-sawkins-1402802\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ed&nbsp;Sawkins<\/a>, Swimlane&#8217;s Regional Sales Director for Australia and New Zealand.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>How long have you been with Swimlane?<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">I&#8217;m been with Swimlane for just over 7 months.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What does your job entail?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">My job is to bring Swimlane to the market in Australia and New Zealand. I also enable&nbsp;our partners to sell and implement Swimlane, adopting more customers across different verticals in the region.<\/p>\n<h3>What do you enjoy most about working at Swimlane?<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"> I enjoy working with the people &#8211; there are no egos but still a strong drive and desire to get things done &#8211; that&#8217;s not an easy mix to achieve, but Swimlane has done it. <\/p>\n<h3>What excites you most about your work?<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">I think the number one thing people say they are struggling with,&nbsp;particularly as we come out of the pandemic,&nbsp;is <em>time<\/em>. Swimlane is all about automation &#8211; making better use of people\u2019s time. If I can save people time (and therefore be more productive) that gives me a great sense of satisfaction. <\/p>\n<h3>What do you like to do when you aren\u2019t working?<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">I&#8217;m a Scout leader &#8211; so I like to spend a lot of time outdoors and help develop the next generation of adults to be the best people they can be. I also enjoy skiing (perhaps Australia is not the best place to live for this!). Mountain biking is another passion &#8211; so maybe I should be in Colorado!<\/p>\n<h3>What\u2019s a fun fact about you that many people may not know?<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">I&#8217;m a beekeeper.<\/p>\n<h3>Your motto or personal mantra:<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;Do the right thing&#8221;.
