Listen up! Swimlane launches Hands-Free Security podcast

Podcast series offers engaging, impactful discussions on SOAR use cases, emerging technologies and industry insights

DENVER — (Jan. 30, 2019) —Swimlane, a leader in security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR), today announced the launch of their podcast series, "Hands-Free Security." The podcast convenes industry thought leaders and subject matter experts to discuss security operations (SecOps) strategies and how security orchestration, automation and response can help.

“Today, the cybersecurity industry is seeing a significant labor shortage, and the scarcity of qualified employees is only set to grow in the coming years,” said Cody Cornell, Swimlane’s co-founder and CEO. “Sharing information, best practices, SOAR use cases and talking through security news of the day with ‘Hands-Free Security’ is part of our greater mission to bolster the entire industry and continue to address that dire staffing need.”

The ongoing series offers listeners automation use cases, information on emerging technologies and industry insights to help deal with the sheer volume of security alerts and growing portfolios of security solutions.

Four episodes are currently available for download. The first episode of the series reflects on McAfee's MPOWER 2018 and discusses what emerging technology could mean for the security industry. The next episode delves into pitfalls to avoid and common misconceptions when shopping for and implementing a SOAR solution. The third episode dives into why Swimlane has been constructed the way it has, and the fourth episode brings together a number of Swimlane’s military veterans to discuss transitioning from the service to startup life.
