Welcome to the “Life in the Swimlane” blog series. Here we will feature interviews with Swimlaners to learn more about their experience. This series will give you a preview of Swimlane, our culture, and the people who keep us going.
Hello my name is Gabriella Lopez, I’m a 4th Generation Coloradan and Denver native. I attended the University of Colorado Denver majoring in Business Finance with a certificate in JP Morgan commodities trading. I’ve been in tech sales for the last 5 years selling various cybersecurity products along the way. And I’m a paw-rent to two rescue mutts and a 25 pound Maine Coon cat.
What does your job entail?
I’ve been with Swimlane for less than 6 months and I work with our North Eastern and Eastern Canadian sales team to capture early sales interest from existing and new customers in that region.
What do you enjoy most about working at Swimlane?
The organization is fast, naturally motivated and adaptable, something a lot of organizations wished they had in this business. I also love working for a Colorado based company.
What excites you most about your work?
Connecting with professionals working on important security projects that protect their customers’ information. As a victim of cyber crime myself, I hold organizations accountable for protecting users’ data at every level.
What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
Hiking with my dogs and riding motorcycles on a sunny Colorado day. And when I’m not doing either of those, attending live music and the cinema.
Are there any clubs, volunteer/awareness groups, or social movements you’re passionate about?
I’m passionate about latinas in technology and business, as well as environmental protection.
What’s are some fun facts about you many people may not know?
I love art and am an avid tattoo art collector.

Gregarious, curious, and kind.
What Swimlane core value resonates with you the most?
“Move at the speed of wow”. I love to learn on my feet and trial by error is usually the best way to learn anything!
What type of impact do you want to leave on our industry?
I would like our industry to recognize that diversity in the work place allows for diverse thinking and that can do so much for team productivity and business success.
