Welcome to the “Life in the Swimlane” blog series. Here we will feature interviews with Swimlaners to learn more about their experience. This series will give you a preview of Swimlane, our culture, and the people who keep us going.
Hi, my name is Viacheslav Terentyev, but people call me Slava. I live in Paris with my wife Samantha and our 9 months old son Arthur. I have a master degree in International Business Management from Sorbonne University.

How long have you been with Swimlane ?
It’s only been a year at Swimlane, yet it feels like I’ve spent my entire career here. Joining Swimlane was a perfect match.
What is your role at Swimlane?
As Southern Europe Sales Director, I’m responsible for driving our growth across France, Spain, Italy and Portugal. I work closely with our channel network to identify the right opportunities, tailor our hyperautomation solution to our customers’ needs, and ensure our clients get the best value from our platform.
What do you enjoy most about working at Swimlane?
I love working at Swimlane because we’re not just the fastest-growing hyperautomation company in the world, we’re also changing how security teams work. Hearing a CISO say we stopped a phishing attack within minutes reminds me why it matters. There’s nothing better than watching partners and customers discover how our platform can solve their real-world challenges and help thousands of people sleep better at night.
How do you successfully build relationships with new clients?
Today’s customers are extremely well informed about the technologies on the market and when a solution truly delivers, word travels fast. In Southern Europe especially, clients have grown more open to testing new technologies. For example, we often replace legacy tools by showing how quickly our plug-and-play Turbine – featuring more than 2,500 playbooks and unlimited integrations – can deliver results. When prospects see it in action, they can’t help but say, “Wow!”

That genuine surprise and confidence lay the strongest foundation for a long-term partnership. We reinforce that by leaning on our channel DNA – working hand in hand with our GSIs, resellers, and MSSPs. They helps us scale the business very fast, and I’m proud of the robust GTM strategy we’ve built together.
What type of impact do you want to leave on our industry?
I want to redefine the way organizations in Southern Europe approach cybersecurity. Right now, many companies still see security as a cost center or just a defensive measure – but my vision is to transform security operations into a strategic advantage through automation. By bringing Swimlane’s hyperautomation to our partners and customers, my goal is to make security teams faster, smarter, and more proactive than ever before. With Swimlane, we’re giving SOC teams back their time, CISOs peace of mind, and organizations the freedom to innovate safely. Ultimately, I want to continue treating every new customer and partner as our most important one. Each customer matters, and I’m committed to delivering best-in-class cybersecurity automation and exceptional service to every client in the region.
What Swimlane core value resonates with you the most?
The Swimlane value that resonates most deeply with me is definitely « Punch above your weight class. » It fits perfectly with my personality because I genuinely love to challenge myself, going above and beyond, aiming high and seeing just how much we can achieve, even against tough odds.
Your motto or personal mantra?
Everything is possible to those who dream, dare, work and never give up.
