Swimlane awarded Bronze Stevie® Award in 2015 American Business Awards

Winners in ABA’s new product and technology-related categories announced in San Francisco

TEMPE, Ariz. - (Sept. 21, 2015, PRNewswire) — Swimlane's automated security operations platform has been awarded a 2015 Bronze Stevie® Award in the New Product or Service of the Year – Software – Security Solution category in the 13th Annual American Business Awards.

The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations—public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.

Nicknamed “the Stevies” for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards were presented to winners during a gala banquet on Friday, Sept. 11 at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco. More than 250 nominees and their guests attended for the presentation of new product awards, management awards, app awards, and more.

Swimlane is an automated security operations platform that centralizes an organization’s security alerts, alarms and incidents to automate resolution and deliver a better ROI on current and future security investments. Using an automated workflow engine and security orchestration, Swimlane reduces manual effort by automatically responding to alerts, gathering related threat intelligence and automating the implementation of security controls, all which aides in protecting the organization from future attacks.

More than 3,300 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Tech Startup of the Year, Software Executive of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, and App of the Year, among others. Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 200 executives nationwide who participated in the judging process.

“It is an honor to be awarded a Stevie Award,” says Cody Cornell, co-founder of Swimlane. “Our mission at Swimlane is to enable an organization to automatically respond to cyberattack, by leveraging their existing detection and intelligence solutions to respond faster and more comprehensively. This award validates the unique market need that Swimlane fills. Alert fatigue and massive talent shortages in the cybersecurity space is placing organizations in an extremely difficult spot, as attacks continue to increase in volume and the amount of security data organizations are expected to managed grows exponentially.”

“We are extremely impressed with the quality of the entries we received this year. The competition was intense and every organization that won should be proud,” says Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. “To those outstanding individuals and organizations that received Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Awards, the judges and I are honored to celebrate your many accomplishments. You are setting a high standard for professionals nationwide.”

Entries for the 2016 edition of the ABAs will open in October.
