I finally made it to RSA 2024 in sunny and warm San Francisco, California and let me tell you, it’s been quite the journey. Months of prep, countless checklists, and endless excitement led up to this moment. But as we say, nothing ever goes exactly as planned, right? So, let’s dive into the highs, lows, and everything in between of my first-time experience at RSA.
Failure: Who Needs a Real Bed Anyway?
Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. Imagine this: I arrived at my hotel, only to be told my reservation fell through at the last minute. With every nearby hotel fully booked, I found myself bedding down on a foldable chair in a conference room for the night. Let’s just say, it wasn’t the cozy night’s sleep I had in mind but hey, that makes a great story, right?
Success: Insights from the Top 50 CISOs
Named among the Top 50 CISOs to Watch in 2024 by Lacework, Swimlane’s very own CISO, Mike Lyborg was interviewed by SC Media to share his perspectives on the link between outcomes-driven solutions and measurable business success. For those who missed out, the recorded session is a must-watch.
Success: Morning Combo – Demo, Donuts, and Coffee
We kicked off our Swimlane Turbine demos with a sweet surprise – delicious donuts. I’ve decided to do a little impromptu survey, and guess what? The most popular flavor turned out to be Maple. And what flavor would you have gone for? It’s time to make tough decisions, one donut at a time!
Success: Swimlane Marketplace Launch
Swimlane introduces the Swimlane Marketplace, a first-of-its-kind modular marketplace for security automation. With seamless integration and a wide range of solutions, it simplifies security operations across any tech stack or scenario. Prospects were excited to watch it live, anticipating its potential to transform their security operations.
Success: Networking Beyond RSA
Because one event is not good enough, Swimlane extended its reach to the NightDragon event in partnership with NTT Data. This partnership was a testament to our commitment to forging meaningful connections and expanding our reach. Great food, good music, and insightful conversations. It was an unforgettable fusion of collaboration, fueled by the synergy between Swimlane and NTT Data.
One Clear Winner: AI
AI is and was everywhere at RSA. Every vendor brings their own unique perspective to the table, infusing AI with their distinct flavor and innovation. However, amidst the whirlwind of options, settling for anything less than excellence is simply not an option. It’s crucial to keep a sharp eye on security considerations. With data privacy at the forefront of concerns, scrutinizing specifications such as private LLM becomes imperative. You can unleash your inner hero with AI-Enabled Automation. With Swimlane’s Private LLM being just one part of Hero AI, organizations can start making AI-assisted decisions to elevate their entire security organization with Hero AI.
See You Next Year RSA
And there you have it – my whirlwind adventure at RSA 2024. From setbacks to successes, it’s been a wild ride from start to finish. But as the dust settles and I bid farewell to San Francisco, I can’t help but feel grateful for the experience.
What’s Next? Well, we received an abundance of demo requests – and we couldn’t be happier! It’s incredible to witness such overwhelming enthusiasm, especially for our AI-enhanced low-code security automation platform. While we may have to catch our breath, rest assured, we’re looking forward to following up with each and every person that stopped by booth #1957 this RSA, for more in-depth demos and follow-ups.
