Swimlane and R9B Combine Industry-Leading Cyber Security Solutions To Accelerate Threat Remediation

Adding Swimlane’s SOAR to R9B’s internal and customer-facing solutions creates differentiated market solution and enhanced customer experience

Denver, Colo. – October 29, 2020Swimlane, an independent leader in security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR), and R9B today announced a joint offering that combines Swimlane’s SOAR solution with R9B’s human-led, technology-accelerated managed detection and response (MDR) service. As a result, enterprises gain access to a highly differentiated market solution that can reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR) for increasingly complex cyber threats, while enhancing the customer experience.

An average Security Operations Center (SOC) can have over 80 tools from 40 vendors. Between alert overload, complex security stacks and a lack of skilled personnel – it is increasingly difficult for them to keep up with the ever-growing threat landscape. Further, many tools across the security stack are disconnected or siloed from others, making it difficult for analysts to see the bigger picture and connect disparate pieces of evidence across multiple tools. All of these challenges add to the amount of time it takes to resolve or remediate an alert.

Swimlane’s SOAR platform reduces time to triage, builds efficiencies in workflows and gives R9B’s customers enhanced visibility into how MDR protects them. Beyond MDR, one of the hardest things to accomplish in any security organization is leveraging cyber threat intelligence (CTI) in security operations. For one of R9B’s largest government customers, they will leverage Swimlane and R9B’s ORION platform to ingest CTI and automate threat hunting.

“R9B is thrilled to partner with Swimlane to accelerate and automate our proactive threat hunting services as part of R9B’s MDR. After evaluating several SOAR platforms, we determined Swimlane provided the best capabilities and support to help our customers detect, respond and remediate threats at machine speed,” said Founder and CEO Eric Hipkins. “Threat actors have leveraged automation in launching and executing attacks for decades and it’s R9B’s expertise paired with Swimlane’s automation which tip the advantage back to our customers.”

“Swimlane is excited to partner with R9B to increase the efficiency and efficacy of their security practice and their incident response capabilities for their customers,” said Co-Founder and CEO Cody Cornell. “We look forward to working as a team to unlock the full potential of security automation and orchestration for their customer base.”
