Life in the Swimlane with Quality Analyst, Jorge Montero

Heeey. I am Jorge, from Costa Rica. I am living in Naranjo, a place full of nature and coffee plantations. It is a little town full of nice and humble people. I studied software engineering and since 2013 I have been working in this area. I love to wake up early and go to CrossFit (amateur). And I also love to visit different places and eat their food. Bonus – I love soccer jerseys.

How long have you been with Swimlane?

I have been here since February 2020.

What does your job entail?

As QA, I work with the hydra and quality team, to ensure we meet the expected requirements and to try to catch the possible errors that the customer could have. It is not only to be QA, it is to understand everybody, to be in contact with the whole team, and to be patient and easygoing. I love my job.

What do you enjoy most about working at Swimlane?

People. Since I started working at Swimlane, everybody has had teamwork on their mind.

What excites you most about your work?

I love to test – so, knowing new features, understanding new functionalities, and trying new things. And this involves working with people.

What do you like to do when you aren’t working?

I love to know new places and to do CrossFit.

Are there any clubs, volunteer/awareness groups, or social movements you’re passionate about?

I really like soccer, I follow an LDA from Costa Rica. I like to collect Soccer shirts.

What’s a fun fact about you that people may not know?

I have a video singing on YouTube

Three words that best describe you:

I think the best thing that describes me is that I’m a friendly person, I like to work with people and If someone needs help, I always try to do my best.

What type of impact do you want to leave on our industry?

I think that people will always remember you in a positive way if you are a nice person to work with. So, one of my objectives in life is to try to help the best that I can.
