Security Automation Platform Provides Key Components of Successful Digital Transformation Initiatives in Asia-Pacific Region
DENVER — April 12, 2021 — Swimlane, provider of the industry’s leading security automation platform, today shared details of its growing footprint in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. In 2020, Swimlane achieved 500% year over year growth with the addition of 11 new customers in APAC. Since first launching into the region in 2019, Swimlane has hired seven local team members to support operations across 10 countries, and most recently added a Professional Services offering.
“Innovative companies across Asia-Pacific are leveraging a very diverse range of systems for their security operations, which makes orchestrating these tools a challenge. Swimlane’s ability to integrate with an equally wide range of systems, build new integrations free of charge, and provide orchestration capabilities fills a critical gap for the region,” said Anthony Farr, Vice President and Managing Director for Asia Pacific and Japan at Swimlane. “Swimlane is thrilled by the response to our solution in this region, which enables near endless use cases to automate the world of security, and we anticipate at least 300% year over year growth in 2021.”
Swimlane’s automation platform provides a flexible, central workbench that enables teams to automate any task or process with speed and accuracy. The platform acts as a force multiplier, significantly increasing the impact and productivity of security teams to ensure security operations are managed quickly, efficiently and effectively. Swimlane is currently engaged with customers and partners in Australia, Bangladesh, India, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan to support digital transformation efforts. On the heels of the company’s recent $40 million growth round, Swimlane intends to expand into additional APAC markets in 2021.
“Organizations today continue to embark on the next phase of digital business driven by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, leading to a surge of data information being transmitted and received, and leaving this highly interconnected ecosystem exposed to a more vulnerable and an ever-evolving threat landscape. The huge volume of threat alerts means that manual responses to threats are no longer tenable,” said Wai Kit Cheah, Director, Security Practice at Lumen Technologies Asia Pacific. “To augment our orchestration and automation capabilities in our security operations team and decrease alert fatigue, we have entered into an arrangement with Swimlane to streamline the way we respond to incidents and free up more resources for remediation for our end-user customers.”
In addition to continued growth throughout APAC, Swimlane plans to expand their operations in other regions in 2021, including EMEA.
